3 Ways to Support YOUR Immune System

Cold and Flu "season" is fast approaching and nobody likes getting sick! But, when we supress our symptoms with medicine it can make the problem even worse. Your body is so amazing and it has it's own natural healing methods such as: coughing, sneezing and fever! (If you missed my post about fever check it out here!) Strengthening your immune system is is the best defense against cold and flu season so come to our workshop on Oct. 4th at 6:15pm to learn even more ways to keep your body and immune system healthy and strong!  Here are my top 3 tips to support your immune system:1. SLEEP - sleep is SO important for keeping your immune system healthy and functioning. You should be aiming for 7-8 hours of quality, uninterrupted sleep per night and if you are sick -- increase that amount! 2. EXERCISE - Regular exercise can help keep the immune system strong but even if you are feeling under the weather a nice walk with some fresh air can help get you back on track. 3. EPSOM SALT BATHS - This is probably my favorite... who doesn't love a nice warm bath when they are not feeling well! Add a cup of epsom salts and some lavendar essential oil to your bath to soothe achy muscles and the magnesium can strengthen your immune system too!  What are some things you do to keep your immune system healthy and strong?
